An Effective Internet Lead Generation Sales Funnel Maximizes Your Home Business Leads

If you remove all the “noise” and “fluff”, there are only 3 things that actually put money in your back pocket:  driving targeted internet marketing traffic to your website, converting this traffic into home business leads and then getting repeat sales from these existing customers.  If you want to increase the amount of money you earn, you need to increase one, if not all of these things.

If you want to turn on the cash machine QUICKLY, you simply need to inverse this process:

  • Increase repeat sales
  • Increase conversions
  • Increase traffic

Within each of these there are those actions that will allow you to leverage the most opportunity, and those that won’t.  Pay attention to the 80/20 rule.  Put 80% of your time and effort into those activities that will allow you to reap the benefits of the top 20% of your opportunities. Mastering the 80/20 philosophy allows you to always have enough time, enough money and enough opportunities.

Based on this way of thinking, below is a checklist for an effective sales funnel that will maximize your internet lead generation efforts providing you with quality home business leads.

MAXIMIZE YOUR HOME BUSINESS LEADS WITH AN EFFECTIVE INTERNET LEAD GENERATION SALES FUNNEL

  1. Survey lost customers – understand why they are leaving, what they didn’t like and what they did like.  Use this information to improve your marketing, solutions and service.
  2. Reinstate lost customers – determine how you can regain the trust and relationship with your previous customers to get them to come back.  Start with those customers who spent the most with you, most often and most recently.
  3. Survey potential customers – either in your opt-in form or after they have opted-in, ask your new home business leads what they want.
  4. Follow the path of your visitors – analyze the pages your visitors view on your website before they purchase.  These pages make all the difference to your targeted internet marketing success.  Most of these pages should include”
    1. Headline
    2. Sub-headline
    3. Introductory paragraph
    4. Graphics and / or videos
    5. Offer
    6. FAQ
    7. Guarantee
  5. Split test – you should be split testing at least one of the above elements in at least one of your key pages all the time.
  6. Escaped customers – do you have a strategy in place to catch those visitors that leave your website without taking any action?  What can you do to “catch” them and keep them in your sales funnel?

Now that you have an effective sales funnel in place, you need to track your conversions so you know where your profitable traffic is coming from.  20% of your traffic produces 80% of your sales.  Tracking will allow you to spend less on the ineffective 80% and more on the effective 20% of your internet lead generation activities.  Following this checklist will improve your targeted internet marketing results and generate better quality home business leads for your business.

    Really clear post. Great explanation of the funnel concept that I have heard so much about. I have some of this in place, but not nearly all. I don't do my own split testing but I have been reading generalities about what others claim to have tested, and am blindly implementing what sounded logical, and got 'tested up' by a few of the people that I follow.

    Sounds like a lot of work to process all this additional info, but I keep saying asses what is working working and do more of that. This is additional work, but it should take some of the money that I have 'left on the table' up until this point in my online strategic marketing, and put that money in my pocket.
