Patrick Swayze, known as a woman’s dream and a man’s man, died at the young age of 57. Reflecting on his life, as an aspiring entrepreneur you can learn valuable lessons from his respected life to achieve your goals.
Determination: Your Purpose in Life
Patrick lived for the moment and found his purpose in life at a young age. Inspired by his mother, he started ballet which later transformed his life into a superstar. For aspiring entrepreneurs the lesson is to follow your purpose in life, be naturally motivated to want to succeed and encouraged to take the necessary actions to achieve your goals. Don’t underestimate the power of self-motivation.
Discipline: Achieve Your Goals
Patrick had his share of challenges. Growing up, he encountered bullying from peers as a result of his passion, as a young adult he overcame alcoholism and sadly recently passed away after suffering from cancer. Yet these challenges didn’t prevent him from pursuing his purpose in life. His commitment and determination to succeed fueled his discipline to take the actions necessary to achieve his goals in life.
The mark of achieving true success is your discipline to do whatever it takes, remain focused and achieve your goals even during times of hardship. Again, discipline is much easier when you’re following your true purpose in life.
Dedication: Your Survivor
It’s truly amazing that until the 12th hour Patrick continued to chase his purpose in life and finished his latest film, “The Beast” where he spent 12 hours a day seeing it through to finality.
This level of dedication will ultimately see you achieve your goals. Focusing on your result and having absolute commitment to your purpose in life will make you stand proud.
Patrick Swayze, we solute you for inspiring millions to not only believe in yourself and achieve your goals in life, but to do so with continued zest, no matter what. May you rest in peace.
